Creating An Online Toolkit for Supporting Non-traditional Student Success

This 30-minute workshop is a presentation on academic innovation - using technology to support staff development and community-building. CEW+, U-M University Human Resources, and Information and Technology Services are creating a self-paced online training toolkit to enhance how University staff engage with and support nontraditional students. Toolkit topics address the common needs, barriers and challenges of underrepresented students at U-M. This training is a collaborative effort to pilot a new model of conducting online student-focused learning and optimizing micro-credentialing functions. Attendees will be shown a demonstration of the toolkit and learn about additional engagement opportunities beyond the toolkit.    1.
