The School District of Pickens County (SDPC), SC (16,000 students) has bridged the instructional and technology divide to achieve true collaboration for instructional innovation. SDPC leadership believes in preparing our students for success beyond the classroom. Our priorities and decisions are made to fulfil this vision, supporting equity and innovation. We developed a budget plan collaboratively with our board, agreeing together on priorities. One of these top priorities is a robust technology infrastructure that includes 1:1 student devices, upgraded wireless and electronics, a fiber ring network, and a robust interoperable digital ecosystem. This has enabled us to launch flexible learning environments using technology to expand opportunities for personalized learning.Join us as we share our story on ensuring sustainable funding with board support, building a digital ecosystem, and addressing teacher shortages with expanded virtual learning opportunities. You will evaluate your current practices and receive resources for developing your own plan for innovation.
