The advancement of technical standards and the proliferation of pluggable tools and consuming platforms are driving forces for digital transformation within the teaching and learning ecosystem. On top of that, rapidly changing technologies, growth in user demands, and the continual drive to be an innovative campus all contribute to a persistent feeling that planning and designing the ecosystem is more about surviving than strategy. In this session, the presenters will share how the UW-Madison campus is approaching this challenge to provide the best experience possible within its digital learning ecosystem. Presenters will also discuss approaches to improve cross-campus collaborations in this area,to help academic and technology leaders with strategic prioritization, and to create a map to a cohesive and interoperable portfolio of learning technologies.Participants will be engaged throughout the presentation and asked to contribute their own successes and struggles in defining technology ecosystems in their organization.
