IMS Question & Test Interoperability 3.0 is due for public release in May 2020. This new version means that it is even easier to create and deliver assessments whether they are simple formative quizzes or high-stakes summative tests. Unlike previous versions, of this well-established, QTI specification, this new release is focused on simplifying delivery of assessments. Authoring-to-delivery can be achieved without any intermediate transformation of the content. Once again, an extensive set of accessibility features are supplied but usage of these has been simplified without compromising interoperability. Integration with many of the other IMS specifications has been improved.

During this bootcamp the IMS Members and staff will describe the new QTI 3.0 specification and demonstrate authoring questions and tests based on this new standard. The process of conformance and certification will be explained and demonstrated. Attendees at the workshop will learn:

About the feature set supported in QTI 3.0
How to use QTI 3.0 to provide accessible questions and tests
How to migrate from QTI versions 2.1 and 2.2, and APIP 1.0
How to become QTI 3.0 certified
How to use the new QTI validator and the reference set of examples
How QTI works with other IMS specifications and how it fits into the IMS ECOSYSTEM
